The Importance of Residential Aged Care
The client had no formal contact with any services except five years before this when he had a fall broke his hip and ended up in hospital. The psychiatrist started him on some antipsychotic medication but given his age it did have terrible side effects for an older gentleman. A week into the psychiatric medication there was quite a clear indication that the medication was too strong for him so the medication was reduced.
