The Mythology of Dante's Veehan Lova
All of the mythologies are metamorphoses of a single great mythological system of forms. We have the theme of consistangiality here, and then we have Dante as the guide to the Gothic inflection of these echoed through Joyce. Now let me start then with the Veehan Lova. When he sees her, he experiences what one may call aesthetic arrest. It's an eternal moment. He says at this moment, the Lord of my heart recognized I have found my master. The Lord of my senses recognized I has found my bliss. And they shine through everything.
