The Theology of the Body Is Defending the Body
After sin, St. John Paul II says, the task that men and women have before them is to reconstruct the meaning of the self-gift according to the objective reality of creation. It's no longer intuitive. The inherent spousal meaning of the body is not destroyed by sin. The body can still communicate, but because of sin our communications with our body are distorted.
