How Did You Get Into Data?
First job out of school was a data job, and I wasn't necessarily looking for it. Went from doing search natural language processing to working on open source software. Was pretty involved in the Python community when he heard about pandas at PyCon. Eventually started a boutique reporting company and created optimized data warehousing tooling.
