rush were one of the few bands who needed that kick because they didn't it wasn't that grungy. Kiss tried to make a grunge album at the time i guess it never came out that was a deal it came out later so it was very tempting. It fully finally kicked them out of the 80s and reminded them that they were they could be a guitar band again. The rush stuff actually aged pretty well it's just Dr Feelgood is still going strong.
