Scarecrows

i always pictured a scarecrow wearing a straw hat and overalls. This thing is dressed almost like a macey's mannikin sun hat, burgundy scarf and brown button coat. It looks like it's missing a leg piece in one of its arms. Are all scarecrows made this way? That seems like wag too much work for a thing you just hide in a field. And also, why is it all the way out here, there's not a single farm for miles? While i'm curiously poking at this thing before me, i start to get this sense like a third eye or something.
