A Cricket Sings, and I Have Never Forgotten Another
i love a poem by the japanese poet isa. He says, im on a branch floating down river, a cricket singing. This is our situation. We are probably in peril. It's o ood place for a cricket to be, especially if there are some rapids ahead. And yet, what does the cricket do? It sings, because that is its nature and it delights in this moment in the sun. i now feel, you know, every, every inch of ground on this earth has seen unfathomable suffering,. Some of it human, some of it not human. But there is also no inch of earth which is not soaked in joy and in beauty
