The United States and the Kurds in Syria

The United States alliance with Turkey usually trumps everything but the U.S has also been involved in long term destabilization efforts in Syria and the YPG or SDF was the ground force behind that so even with the most cynical attitude in the world the United States has a complicated problem. It seems that Erdogan is in this strange position or the Turkish state is in these strange position they probably do have the military force to push that 30 kilometers into Syria but there's this bizarre web of alliances including the United States, says Peter Bergen.
