We are a destructive force of nature, at least modern industrial civilization is. Some anthropologist historians are now saying that the problem started all the way back with the dawn of agriculture. I think that the damage that was done in the last 300 years outstrips anything that has been done in the ten thousand years preceding that previous so some kind of a sorcerer's apprentice event has occurred and the brooms are multiplying. But one broom is great. A million brooms multiplying is very bad. Is it unuseful to look at it as purely destructive? Should we look at it a more transhumanist way?
