A New Study on Bacterial Host and Meningial Neuro Immune Access

The title of this paper is bacteria hijack and meningial neuro immune access to facilitate brain invasion. There's two bacteria that are main causes of the study here. They're both streptococcus, streptomone and strep agalactosia. And what they find is that this bacteria activates a neuropeptide called calcitonin gene related peptide CGRP. The way this works is this gene, this peptide is known to be a noceoceptive neurotransmitter. So it, when it's released, causes you to feel pain.
