The Origins of Language
Julian James believed that we used to hear a full on other voice in our heads speaking to us. Most functions in our body, like sight and smell and taste, all have a counterpart in the other hemisphere. But interestingly, the function of language is only active in one hemisphere. We have another part in the opposing hemisphere, but it's deactivated. schizophrenics in schizophrenics brains, both of those components are activated. And that's why they hear the voices more prominently. It can mean that maybe we used to commune directly with our creator, with God, with the other dimensions.
