Crew resource management is a set of training procedures for use n environments where human air can have devastating effects. The concept was insisted to foster a less authoritarian cockpit culture, where co pilots are encouraged to question captains if they observe them making mistakes. These concepts have ben modified for air traffic control, ship handling, fire fighting, medical operating rooms. It's really hard to overstate how important this is not only for aviation, but for all kinds of industries.
