Cleopatra's Death

In 30 b c e, octavian staged an invasion of egypt to seal the fate of the ptolemaic kingdom once and for all. Cleopatra realized that all was lost, she hid in her tomb with her enteurage and made ready to end her life. But before she went through with it, she sent a message to antony, telling him that she had killed herself. And here's where it gets really tragic, because antony received this message before she died, and attempted to commit suicide himself. As he was dying, he was brought to cleopatra's tomb where she was there, still alive. An absolutely tragic scene between these
