While at court, siegfried became completely enamoured with gunther's beautiful sister, kriemhild. But for this to happen, kingg ther would need to give his consent. Gunther asked Siegfried to help him win the hand of his own unrequited love, the formidable icelandic warrior queen brunhild. In the end, thanks to the help of sigfried, wearing a magical cloak of invisibility that gave him the strength of 12 men
