We have to move beyond dogmatism, an invariable insistence on principles that can never adapt to the real given moment. Marxism is a scientific approach to revolution, and it therefore has to be adapted. And e can't simply weigh out the possibility of compromising with aspects of parliament, if those compromises are what's necessary for the revolutionary movement to continue. In the end, lennon's emphasis is that we cannot preclude any terrain of struggle on the basis of dogma or ultra leftism. We must engage in the spaces that the masses already exist. Then unions in parliament are an example of this. What it comes down to is a practicality that is grounded in scientific assessment and rules nothing
