The incentive after a loss is no longer like two thousand, 12 and figure out what policies we can offer the american public to win next time. It's how can we tweak the rules a little bit to get that extra ten thousand votes in michigan or whatever it is? Is there another era, historically where the losing party moves to process changes and even anti democratic reforms, rather than ideological re invention? I'm just try to thinkh historically, a does parity always produce that? Does it produce it in other countries at the state level? How powerful a force is that? Or is it something that's unique to the current era?
