I like foreign policy that is firm, but not macho and blinking gets into the macho thing. But let's be absolutely clear. Chemical weapons were used in the Syrian civil war by the Assad government. And not only is that illegal in international law and for which there wasn't proper accountability, but the US and others had said it was a quote unquote, red line. We should have gone in.
