How Much Water Do You Lose From Skin Losses?
For every 7 degrees Celsius increase in temperature, you lose twice as much water from your skin. So no matter how bad you feel on that like 98% humidity day with a dew point of 70, you're not losing any more water than you would be at a lower humidity same temperature day. And so this is something that I wish we just had a better sense of how to calculate in the critically ill. Also through the ventilator, all these things, I think is critical because so many times we've talked about this before in previous episodes.
