The City Constituted by Grace
In the city constituted by grace souls are united immediately to the sumon bonam. He may not yet be whole but his soul is already a part of a whole and he is fellow citizen with angels it seems that bodies are simply not required for citizenship in this city. In fact it's a city to which man can belong precisely because God created in him a soul which exceeds the faculty of composite nature. So again no complex of goods must be brought together to make the city rather by one contemplative act everything that a city was to be for man is established Jerusalem is a city strongly compact. According to the new life and love he begins to have by grace there is no such essential mediation.
