I see some affinities between Marcusa and block on this point where they think that there are dangerous utopias, the dangerous utopia of returning back to nature. A block is really hostile to Freud. He hates the idea of your recovery and anemnesis. While I think for from Marcusa, a lot of this is you're recovering these energies, these desires that are in us. Both of them think something like this. These desires are there whether we theorize them or not. And it seems as if you're right, they can be appropriate in a sort of fascist direction if we need to return.
