The Effects of Interval Training on Cardiovascular Health

Research has conclusively shown that older competitive athletes who have trained hard at a high intensity are the most at risk of cardiac issues. I tend to train less often at threshold or above and when I do train I tend to do intervals so rather than you know in the old days I might do a five or ten K threshold run what I would move to these days would be to be intervals maybe once a week.
