Anthony Novak was arrested for making a parody of the Palm Beach Police Department's Facebook page. The police officers tried to prove that they believed they were following the law when they arrested Anthony, and eventually a district court agreed. In 2022, the case went back before the Sixth Circuit for a second time. This time, the judges decided to reject Anthony's claims. They found that the officers were protected by qualified immunity.
