The Importance of Being Yourself
I think the beard is part of being devoted to being yourself and no person on this point. Can tell him otherwise. It's either you're gone or you're accepting his drive. And it is rare to see somebody so committed to say, I am a painter or an artist. This is who I am. No, I will not go get a job just to get a job. Just to pay the bills. Like, you've never been that person. You're willing to be a traveling nomadic artist. ... But the opportunity cost is great of your soul. If you don't follow your soul.
