When CEO Alex Kendall co-founded Wayve in 2017, he was simultaneously writing his PhD thesis at Cambridge University. From that point onwards he’s been in the driver’s seat, as Wayve pioneers a new way to create self-driving cars using end-to-end machine learning.
Alex tells Rene about Wayve’s embodied AI and about the challenges of growing a company from a garage in Cambridge to offices around the world with hundreds of employees, all while navigating a global pandemic.
