Is There Anything You Can Do for Labor Analgesia?
A pudendal nerve block, which does cover vaginal vulvar and the perineal area. That space can be accessed transvaginally or transperineal in the appropriate hands. The bilateral success rate is pretty low to get both sides covered pretty well. One should always keep their eye out for high spinal, which is inadvertently mistaking the epidural catheter with intrasegal. Local and headache toxicity, luckily, is pretty rare in the pregnant population.
