How Does the Absorption of Sunlight Work?
About 70% of the sunlight hidden on earth is absorbed. The rest 30 % is reflected back into space. When that sunlight is absorbed, it heats the ground, heats the water, heats the atmosphere. And you got to get rid of that energy somehow, otherwise the planet would burn up. It would keep absorbing energy andd get much too hot. So the way it absorbsit gets rid of thatEnergy is by sending infrared radiation, heat energy, back into space - so there's got to be a balance.
