Introduction

Ankit Pandal: The trilateral summit that's taking place next month at Camp David is important. He says promoting better trilateralism in Northeast Asia has been a longstanding US priority. In practice, I think that's been easier said than done, mostly due to the relatively rocky up and down relationship between Seoul and Tokyo. And my guess is that the agenda would be pretty wide ranging, not just security, but also on regional economic issues as well.
