The Disinterest in the Commonwealth
There is a general feeling that there's no need for India to be in the common wealth. I did a survey in a group of, we have a WhatsApp group of a few hundred women journalists and one of the things that emerged was very few people reacted as showing the disinterest in the whole process. Why should we be in an institution which is led by the United Kingdom and by the colonial power, which has harmed us so much? And this, the feeling, this feeling is that the commonwealth is rather outdated.
