The American Church Looks the Same as the Culture
LZ Granderson: We're not trained in how to mourn long-term with others. He says we have no framework for corporate grief or what the Bible calls lament. LZ: God tells us that there are times to mourn and a time to dance. This is the best response to pain, as Jesus did when he responded to personal pain by weeping - rather than numbing it.
