Are We All Citizens of a Totalitarian Society?

If capitalism was just anat y run its course, people would be dying and starving to death. We'd have bodies in the streets. And maybe if we had bodies in the street, we'd be forced to contend whith just how many of the problems we face are a direct result of our economic system. Instead, we give people a check. We keep them alive, just dead inside. The problem with marxism is that it just doesn't understand human beings as being lazy by nature. This goes down to the very roots of our instinct to survive.
