"He did like the pick my drawings of children. But he said, how would you feel about illustrating something to begin with? And I thought, yeah, do anything really what you got," she says. He gave her a 'difficult story' written by Martin Waddell called Once the Were Giants. "It's the story of a little girl growing up in 12 spreads and it's written from first person."
