Mall owner Westfield is giving up on its massive city center mall and giving it back to the lender. This is a month after their core tenant Nordstrom left the mall in part because of quote unsafe conditions. The violent crime rate is below that of many other large cities but things like car thefts are soaring up 50% from just seven years ago.
