The Difference Between Semiconductors and Microprocessors
Is it right to think of microchips as like mini computers? I wouldn't necessarily go as far as to refer to them as mini computers, but there are different kinds of chips. There are low end chips which basically regulate temperature, for example. And that is their only task, or in a washing machine. They also make sure that the task is done. It's possible through semiconducting material where conduct small amounts of electricity and carries out tasks.
