Don't Give Up on Your Novel, Its Time May Come
If you are going traditional, the one time i would disagree with that is if you are capable of writing a book a month. You can rapid release, because that is the only time you can actually keep up with the market. If there's something that you love, that turns out to be your novel in a drawer, but you still believe in it, don't give up on it. Its time may come. I truly believe that we can make money of the things that we love. But i also think it is, as you say, it's hot. You have to work your ass off, and there's no guarantees.
