The Butterfly Is a Transformed Version of the Caterpillar

The butterfly is a wonderful symbol for me of a a transformed personality, that is, somebody who's gone through this metamorphosis. Caterpillar crawls along the ground, rather nasty looking thing, but it has potential in itd at a certain point, the climate or sunlight or something signals the cocoon to belt itself chrysalis. And then the butterfly has to break out of the cocoo ot of the chrysalis, push its way out, dry its wings in the sun, and then it can fly.
