I want to start with this. Do you believe that almost anyone can end up being an Einstein? That is an interesting question. I think that almost anybody has that potential. What happens over people's lifetimes is very, very complicated. We don't know even when kids are 13 or 14 what they can do.

Dr. Jo Boaler is the Nomellini-Olivier Professor of Education at Stanford University and co-founder of www.youcubed.org. She is the author of eleven books including What's Math Got To Do With It? and Mathematical Mindsets. Dr. Boaler was also a White House presenter on equity.
