The Importance of Limiting Beliefs in Perfectionism

We have these core beliefs that we develop usually very early in our development. And it can feel very true that if I don't look a certain way or perform a certain way, I am not worthy, I'm not lovable and I'm not safe. Even when we try to cognitively move beyond perfectionism, it can be really threatening to our survival brain. It just doesn't feel okay to move out of the behavior. We need tools for regulation around taking those new actions.
