The report says that Tony Blair might not be a case study to follow particularly the 597 transition. As Kath said there was definitely continuity in the really key offices which for him were obviously Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott. But outside of those there was a lot of churn particularly a major reshuffle straight after entry government in 1997 so in policy areas like health some new people had been brought in. And if Cameron got some decisions right when it came to picking people who were in the government grant I think the report says thatTony Blair may not be a cases study to follow.
