Is There a Monopoly?

In a free society, we would have police. We would have some service providing people with security. But what they wind up doing is doing a lot of what brings in revenue for the department and not as much about chasing after that guy wou just stole my car sterio. If a private sector firm had that as the response, it's our responsibility to keep you safe and your property safe,. but then as soon as you complain about something, the answer is don't expect anything ever to happen.
