Is Data Science a Good Practice for Exploring Those Questions?

A lot of people were saying well it's just statistics with computers or it's just a different way of talking about machine learning. And so what became clear to me is sort of naturally connecting these three disparate practices that I find myself doing a lot, which was mostly a lot of coding and even in the Venn diagram I say like hacking skills. So you do need some training, some you can't just be hacking at the command line expected to be able to create work. But then of course there's also the fundamental training that you need from math and statistics to know what tools to apply to that data.
