Cloud Native Is Not in the End in Itself
Cloud native is a means to that end. It's not in the end in itself. And this is why you're saying if you did the see if you operate in the same way in the cloud then kind of so what. The thing is as Gregor Hope puts it really well if you just migrate to the cloud with your existing practice you'll have a really nice data center. Why not offload some of those operational burden to the cloud provider? Unless you're a competing cloud company you shouldn't be building cloud services.
