The Atacama Desert and the Andes
Cessar is a local guide specializing in astro-tourism which means tourists can learn about astronomy, look through telescopes and enjoy the night sky. Cessar drives me away from the Oasis village of San Pedro, down dusty dirt trap roads past giant kakkai out into the countryside to his company Alar Capin's tiny observatory. He's worried about the impact the satellites are having on his clients enjoyment of the stars. I have to admit there is a full moon so that's making star gazing not quite as incredible as usual but the sky above us is just dotted with stars. Can you show me some of the ones that are important?
