The Environmental Protection Agency and the Toxic Substances Control Act

I met Don probably about seven years ago when we were talking of a similar petition to the Environmental Protection Agency that he actually filed. And for about the last 13 years and still, I serve as the attorney and policy advisor to the well-known climate scientist James Hansen. We said it should act under the statute to phase out greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuels. The law was established to protect the public and the natural world from the increasing intrusion into the environment by industrial society.
