The Importance of Romanization

We're going to talk about syllable structure and Romanization. How complex your syllables are will affect what you can do with the Romanization. William, I'll let you kind of start us off here. If you have mostly open syllables, or by which there's no coda, then that makes Romanization a whole lot easier. For example, not be uses a really funky notation to indicate ejective consonants. It uses an x, tx, kx, and px. And the reason it did this is because it couldn't use the normal way, which is to use an apostrophe.
