The Importance of Quantitative Information in Understanding Long-Term Trends
I think you do need the quantitative information to understand these long-term trends. We wouldn't know about climate change if we didn't measure these things as good as we possibly can. But for instance, the homoside rates, I think they present a really strong argument that is really counterintuitive. And it could be a really interesting case study of presenting these statistics to people who have strong beliefs about that a few hundred years ago life was much more harmonic.
