There are various different ways in therapy to work on this to reassure the monogamous person that you still love them and that you'll be there to talk about things. Sometimes opening a relationship just means that you flirt with other people or you just go on one night stands with people or that you both have sex with you. It's just a lot of different things that people are looking for, but you don't do any of those things until the other person is 100% on board and you take it slow.
