The Death of a Sibling
The letter really struck me, and it made me think about the death of a child. It rattles everybody's cage and identity so much because they do not acknowledge that the mother is the mother of the deceased child. And yet, the sibling feels maybe a sense always of, i'm the one who got to survive. Have you felt guilty about being the one who who lived? As you say, the only left yet, and only one left? I dont know.
