The Role of Confession in the Church
There are solid biblical roots for the teaching, and then we observe an organic development within the church's tradition. So when it comes to these particular changes, I think sometimes people are nervous about the fact that it's arbitrary. The closest one might be the Eucharist. We have the words direct, words of Scripture there. It's a perfectly- this is how you'd expect this thing to happen sometimes.
