The Paradox of NATO Membership
John Cochran: I think what they're looking at doing is announcing a path to NATO membership, right? And broad support for Ukraine becoming a NATO member after the resolution of this conflict. He says Putin can absolutely use the threat of NATO expansion to keep it going. The countries that were under threat by Russia with various forms of subversion and aggression below the threshold of what might elicit a military response were not invaded, you know, because they were part of NATO.
