How to Introduce Plyometrics for Tough Tendons
Ebony's two key go-to's for introducing spring are that using stairs and using a skipping rope. Walking up and down stairs actually allows your muscle to work quasi-isometrically, which is a nice introduction to running. Once someone can achieve those numbers, what I might then do is introduce a bit of a functional spring. The other one that I'll use for Achilles is skipping bunny hops - Craig Perdomo also does some lovely track and field drills. If someone's pain is low and stable and you increase their load,. That's a happy tendon. It doesn't need to be zero. And it's really important that people understand if they're doing something wrong
